The Elizabeth House is a home where you can live during pregnancy and after the birth of your child. An unexpected pregnancy can be hard. We're here to help support and help you find a path forward.

Safe & Free Home for Expecting Moms

The Elizabeth House is a safe place for expectant moms ready to change the directions of their lives. What does your future story look like? We’ll provide a structured and supportive environment so you can focus on your future. If accepted to the program, there is no charge for rent or food. Expectant moms work toward accomplishing goals that lead to living independently and securely so you never face homelessness again.

The Elizabeth House: Helping You Build Life Skills in a Safe Environment

While at The Elizabeth House you can:

  • Find time to focus on school and/or work that will help you get ahead.
  • Learn how to track and control your money and build a good credit score.
  • Become a confident mother: get childbirth and parenting info, or explore parenting options such as adoption
  • Learn tips to help you make the best decisions you can for your journey.
  • Get the emotional support you need to help you build resources.

The Elizabeth House, founded in 2003, is a program of Care Net Pregnancy Center of Dane County, a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization serving the greater Madison area.
